Who are we? And how did we get here?
NewHire™ is a software and services company providing an expert system, grown from of decades of experience and expertise in recruiting and hiring, and we support it with a suite of services designed to make your life easier. Our goal is to empower employers to make informed, effective and cost conscious hiring choices, using a combination of software, expertise and services that works for you.
NewHire™ was originally developed to meet the candidate screening, sorting, tracking and resume storing needs of New Office Temps, Ltd, our 20+ year old temporary staffing and recruiting firm. Candidates came to us from job postings, from our website and from referrals – and we were swamped. Some of the candidates were well qualified and some - not so much.
We needed a way to handle the flood so we could quickly, efficiently (and inexpensively) identify the best people to send to our clients who were requesting temps and temp-to-hire candidates. To address this challenge we created an online application and screening system that was fast and easy to use. The first incarnation of NewHire was called Employment Application System Solution; until someone pointed out that the resulting acronym was E-ASS – definitely not a good name! At first we didn’t care too much about the name because we were only using it internally.
It wasn’t long before we realized that NewHire was part of a new and growing wave of Internet software and services applications (sometimes referred to as ASPs). We started offering our clients’ access to NewHire as we worked with them in an executive recruiting capacity. Quickly they learned to use the screening tools we had developed, and started telling us which candidates looked best to them!
Before long some employers wanted to use NewHire without help from us. They became our earliest adopters and most are still customers today. They saved a lot of money by using the NewHire tool, and doing the work themselves. And they saved gobs of time by using a Web-native system to screen candidates for skills, experience and behaviors important for the job. Using the software technology to manage recruiting in a process-driven methodology relieved the burden of paging through stacks of resumes and reading every one.
Your Data is Safe and Secure
When you choose NewHire we want you to be confident that your candidate data is safe and secure. All of the data is housed on RAID servers housed at our service provider’s site in Atlanta GA, where we maintain several servers. Additionally, we have all data mirrored on servers at a second hosting site in Chicago, IL. Should our primary hosting service be disrupted for any reason, NewHire would be able to immediately move to the other host, with no disruption to you.
Candidate data is secure and cannot be accessed with out proper authentication credentials. In addition to the SSL (the little “padlock” you see in the lower right hand corner of your screen and the https designation in the address bar) data and transactions are secured by Geotrust..
