Marlow’s Tavern (http://www.marlowstavern.com/) is looking for experienced, adaptable and energetic Line Cooks to join our thriving team at multiple locations in the Atlanta area. Line Cooks will be responsible for a variety of essential duties, inclusive of food preparation; food station set up and maintaining the quality and safety of the food.

The right candidate has a minimum of 6 months Line Cook experience, is highly organized and focused on meticulous detail. You will also need to be dedicated to food safety, urgency, productivity, and teamwork, which are the hallmarks of a Marlow’s Culinary Team.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Line Cook Include:

  • Communicate with chef, managers and other team members to learn daily features, events, and important shift information
  • Retrieve sufficient food product from storage based on daily production needs and par levels for station
  • Prioritize cooking and preparation times of each order to ensure proper pacing of guest meals
  • Prepare food items using recipe instructions, proper portioning methods, and cooking standards to fulfill guests’ orders
  • Inspect food orders before sending them out to ensure proper plate presentation, portioning, and recipe adherence
  • Execute on opening, running and closing side work
  • A comprehensive list of duties is provided upon interview

 
Qualifications for the Line Cook Include:

  • Six months to 1 year Line Cook experience
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the US
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and energetic personality
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation
  • Ability to work with a diverse workforce with respect and fairness
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Must be able to remain standing and active for an 8 – 12-hour shift
  • Must be able to bend at the waist and lift and carry items up to 40 lbs
  • Able to hear, understand and respond to teammates’ and guests’ requests in a loud environment
  • Ability to obtain all needed certifications
