IDO Incorporated is seeking enthusiastic and highly self-motivated Interior Design Associates to join our talented, close-knit team. The Interior Design Associate position will be responsible for devising and/or working on a rotation of projects of varying lengths, meeting with clients regularly for updates and collaboration, and coordinating the pertinent teams for successful project completion. The right candidate will have a degree in interior design, a minimum of one year of commercial interior design experience, and required proficiency in data modeling software. We synthesize elemental design principles with data gathering, analysis and a research-driven understanding. Duties and Responsibilities of the Interior Design Associate Include:
  • Coordinate all phases of interior design projects, processing general facility support services activities and develop client driven reports
  • Facilities Management and Move Coordination including focus on: preparation of client driven reports; execution of small furniture requests and reconfigurations; coordination of small moves; and development of presentation drawings
  • Support the company strategy and marketing plan to boost profits and efficiency
  • Develop client relations through continuously working to understand the client’s organization, key people, and executing project goals
  • Average 90% Project Service Delivery focus to 10% Administrative and Operations
  • Participate in the writing of the company blog
  • Additional duties as outlined by project and needed for success
 
Requirements for Interior Design Associate Include:
  • Bachelors degree - preferably in Interior Design, Project Management and/or Facilities Management or related discipline
  • A minimum of 1 year design experience
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, 3D modeling software, e.g. Sketch Up, and Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Productivity Suite is required
  • Strong knowledge of space planning and Building Codes & Standards 
  • Knowledge of commercial furniture products (e.g. Steelcase) is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Furniture Specification applications, e.g. CAP (preferred)
  • Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive, adaptable, can do demeanor
