Hawkins Electric offers our Project Manager the stability of a well-established industry leader, coupled with the aggressiveness of a company named to SmartCEO Magazine’s “Five On Fire” list for 2008-09.  Some of our high profile projects include: The J. F. Kennedy Center, The Jefferson Memorial and USA Today, as well as multiple design-builds for the FAA, numerous area medical facilities, which include MRI rooms, cancer treatment centers and many notable tenant build-outs and new construction condominium projects.

 

We have a fun, friendly, highly motivated office environment, and we’re looking for a Project Manager who is going to work well on our team.  We’re offering a $65,000 to $75,000 annual salary, depending on experience, along with very generous health and dental plans, 401(k), paid holidays, and vacation options.

 

Authorities and Responsibilities

Hawkins Electric Service’s Project Manager will plan, direct and coordinate activities of assigned projects, under the supervision of Senior Commercial Project Manager.  The Project Manager will ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates:

Ø     Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

Ø     Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.

Ø     Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.

Ø     Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedules and within prescribed budget.

Ø     Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.

Ø     Prepares project reports for management, client or others.

Ø     Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

Ø     Takes an active role in promoting safety on the jobsite.

Ø     Develops and coordinates project plans to complete projects on time and budget.

Ø     Cultivates and maintains customer and employee relationships.

Ø     Trains foremen on processes and procedures.

 

To the qualified candidate we offer:

Requirements

The right candidate for this job will have a background which includes:

Ø     10+ years project management of commercial electrical projects;

Ø     Through knowledge of NEC;

Ø     Solid background in commercial construction planning and process;

Ø     Experience with project-management software, specifically MS Project;

Ø     Experience in blueprint and estimating software;

Ø     Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD.
