We’re looking for an aggressive Sales Representative to hunt new business for our 120+ year-old company. At Lechner and Sons (www.lechnerandsons.com), we rely on our Sales Representative to drive our growth in the uniform rental industry. So we’re looking for a true hunter who isn’t afraid to make the calls and the face-to-face visits necessary to close new business. Reporting directly to the VP of our family-owned and operated company, the Sales Representative will have complete responsibility for driving sales in his or her local territory. With one office day per week and the rest in the field, the Sales Representative will have the freedom to succeed. We only work in the Chicagoland area, so there will be no overnight travel required. Lechner and Sons traces its roots in the Authorities and Responsibilities The Sales Representative will be responsible for 100% of the new business generated in their territory. This will include: Ø Working with Sales Managers to establish selling strategies and tactics that result in new account business generation. Ø Scheduling and completing weekly cold calls, tele-prospecting, and other prospecting activities. Ø Achieve annual sales targets and average weekly revenue quotas on a consistent basis. Ø Update sales business plans on a monthly basis to optimize your sales results. Ø Ensure the successful installation and transition of accounts to the service team, to include accurate and timely completion of all contracts. Ø Analyze prospective customers’ needs and meet those needs via proposals, negotiations and business contracts. Ø Show continual professional development in industry, sales ability and time management. Requirements The right candidate for this job will have a background which includes: Ø Proven success cold-selling B2B services. Ø Outgoing, engaging, sales-motivated personality. Ø Willing and able to travel daily within your local territory. Ø Any experience in industrial markets is a plus. Ø Any experience with the Sandler Selling System is a plus. Ø Organized with strong communication skills. Ø Computer-literate and capable in MS Office and internet/email. Ø Self starter with ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
