DACO Incorporated in North Aurora, is looking to add a second shift Inspector to our team. This position is responsible for 1st piece layout as well as in-process and final inspection of dimensional and functional quality characterisitics on machined components. Must possess the ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and other inspection instructions to identify and use appropriate gauging or inspection equipment (height gauges and other hand tools along with a variety of dedicated dimensional gauges). Duties and Responsibilities · Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final inspection of machined automotive parts using equipment such as CMM, Roundness Tester and Comparator; ability to program CMM a plus · Performs functional analysis such as surface finish, hardness testing and heat treat pattern · Competent in use of fixed manual and automatic gauging, as well as calibration requirements of same · Recognize potential problem areas and work directly with quality group and line personnel to provide data and analysis in support of problem-solving or improvement activities · Maintain accurate records of all activities in accordance with established Quality Management System guidelines Skills · Positive attitude and flexibility in response to a fast-paced, changing work environment · Ability to work in support of groups or teams · Able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions · Understanding of SPC and Process Control principles · Familiarity with ISO 9001:2000 and/or TS 16949 based systems and their requirements Please complete the following information.
