The Program Manager ("PM") for the Hardware Division of SCC will be the primary interface between the sales and management team members in dealing with: * the customer, * the manufacturer and the * shippers, and will be responsible for coordinating and making happen all aspects of a successful supply-chain order fulfillment system from quote to order delivery. This will require being involved and responsible for: * order quoting * order placement with our overseas manufacturers * inventory management and forecasting * shipping and delivery, and most importantly, * customer service. This position reports to the VP-Finance and works with four other friendly and experienced PM's in one office. It has the authority to quote prices based on existing Company guidelines.The candidate we are seeking will have excellent follow through capabilities, a strong sense of urgency and be a self-starter able to work (after a training period) to provide a "supply chain order fulfillment" process to our customers and vendors. Handling periods of stress caused by manufacturer and customer problems is also part of the normal mix.The candidate's success will be measured by: * Timely and accurate quotes that meet sales staff requirements * Orders that are manufactured to specifications and shipped on a timely and cost-effective basis * Shipments that are received by the customer on time and to specifications * Accurately billing customersThe physical demands of the job are related entirely to work on the computer, phone and internet.We think that the successful candidate will find our work environment attractive because of our warm, friendly and very cooperative office staff, our comfortably-sized office cubicles, the cooperative level of assistance provided by the other PM's, and the "business approach" taken by our CEO/Owner. Travel not a requirement for this position. However if willing to travel domestically and to China occasionally as you mature in this position, would be a plus. Our office is ideally located near the Interstate and convenient to shops and restaurants (Six Flags Great America is across the street) on a well-traveled higway.The salary range we are offering is between $35,000 and $50,000 depending on experience.
