Sales Representative - Direct Markets - Insurance

We’re looking for experienced Direct Market/Inside Sales Representatives to prospect new business for United Insurance Services, senior general agent for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. Authorities and Responsibilities
The Direct Marketer will be responsible for 100% of new business generated. This will include:
Ø Continually build product knowledge.
Ø Scheduling appointments and completing cold-prospecting activities.
Ø Demonstrating consistent growth and improvement.
Ø Making outbound calls to potential and existing customers by telephone to qualify leads and sell products and services.
Ø Showing success in cross-selling and up-selling.
Ø Following up on leads from ad inquiries, seminars, direct mail responses, aged leads, and other sources, in addition to personal lead generation.
The right candidate for this job will have a background which includes:
Ø Licensed to sell Life and Health insurance in
Ø Proven success in consultative business-to-consumer sales, ideally in insurance.
Ø Experience with cold-prospecting, inbound calls, and face-to-face environments.
Ø Engaging, confident, money-motivated personality.
Ø Able to overcome adversity and objections.
Ø Formal sales training (like the Sandler Selling System) is a plus.
Ø Organized with strong communication skills.
Ø Computer-literate and capable in MS Office and internet/email.
Bi-lingual speaking a plus.
