Struers, (www.struers.com) the world's leading manufacturer of materials testing equipment and consumables, is looking for an Applications Product Specialist with hardness testing experience to increase our level of technical and sales support of the Struers product line to potential and existing customers.     The candidate will work from our US headquarters in Westlake, OH.  The ideal Application Product Specialist has previous experience in material science or materials testing, preferable with previous experience in the field of hardness testing, is able to travel overnight, and will be the face of Struers Inc. for our customers. Primary duties focus on pre- and after-sales activities such as customer demonstrations, tradeshows, workshops, installation and training.  This result driven individual must demonstrate superior customer service skills with a good understanding of sales support.   To the qualified candidate we offer: Competitive salary consisting of base plus bonus Corporate culture which values open communication and innovative thinking Excellent benefits – health insurance (with employee contribution), 401(k) with match, employee stock purchase plan, flexible spending accounts Company owned computer and smart phone Stable, profitable company that has been in business for more than 130 years Relocation package available Struers has affiliates in 22 countries and sells materials testing equipment and consumables to manufacturers of automotive, aerospace, electronics, materials manufacturing and a wide variety of other industries which must measure and control the quality of the solid materials used in production.   Our Fortune 500 customers and other clients rely on our products for Materialographic Sample Preparation, Image Analysis & Archiving, Hardness Testing and Microscopy.   Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Demonstrate Struers products to customers locally, electronically, at tradeshows, and at customer sites in an effort to support sales Perform installation and training at customer sites Perform calibration of test equipment (ISO 17025) Provide market feedback, problem resolution, equipment improvement and future product development to the manufacturing site Participate in educational training activities and training courses for internal and external customers Provide technical support for Struers products to existing (internal and external) customers Requirements: Previous experience in hardness testing, metallographic sample preparation, image analysis software or other related field Enjoys traveling and interacting with customers Product presentation experience Focused team player with the ability to contribute and interact with colleagues all over the world Structured and analytical approach to tasks and problem solving with adequate detail orientation Must be organized with the ability to focus on priority projects and tasks Customer minded with excellent written and oral communication skills Prior experience with ISO 17025 a plus IT skills including hands on PC hardware, PC software, networking and OS experience Microsoft Office Suite expertise Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience   To apply, complete the application below.
