Authorities and Responsibilities for Sales Representatives:
  • Develop sales through cold calls, references, prospect cards, direct mail advertising, and telemarketing as well as any other means found reasonable
  • Develop new products and markets in consultation with the VP of Sales and Service by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Submit management reports by the weekly deadline
  • Make good use of mail-out advertising and telephone solicitation to increase time spent in direct potential customer contact
  • Process, distribute and follow-up all leads in a timely fashion
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, service agreements, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature
  • Support Service Department in installation of new accounts
  • Attend regular departmental meetings
  • Associate Degree or equivalent
  • 2 to 5 years sales experience
  • Previous formal sales training – explainable sales process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficient and able to use industry standard CRM software
  • Current driver’s license in good standing; clean motor vehicle record; minimum 21 years of age
