Effective Human Resources (EHR), a Fractional Human Resources consulting company which solves the HR problems of business owners, is looking for a project-based HR consulting professional. This person is responsible for providing a support service to clients at their location on a wide range of human resources issues, procedures and policies as directed by the EHR management team. This requires a flexible schedule and ability to be onsite at various clients’ locations.  Pay range is $25 to $50 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Duties may include some or all of these functions based on our client’s needs
  • Compliance: Undertaking internal reviews and reporting to EHR on the status of the client re. all HR law compliance
  • Employee Issues
    • Conducting investigations and research into job reclassification, job classification and job criteria advancement
    • Management of the hiring process at
    • Effectively screen candidates and manage initial interview process and schedule follow interviews with relevant supervisor.
    • Manage and administer new hire background checks and competency screening.
    • Prepare offer/acceptance letters and manage on-boarding pocess.
    • Setting up the firing process and potentially firing employees as needed
    • Payroll processing
    • Use of HR software,  Word, Excel, Visio, Payroll, CRM, MRP
  • Policies and Procedures
    • Create and maintain HR policies from employee handbooks to complex analysis and systems
    • Developing, interpreting and evaluating human resources operation guidelines and policies.
  • Communication
    • Liaising with client’s staff in ensuring the effective delivery of the service.
    • Liaising with other agencies regarding the issues related to procedures and policies of human resources.
  • Job Management:
    • Preparing timelines and deliverables lists based on signed client contracts and implementing various human resources projects.
    • Investigating, researching and preparing brief notes or reports on new policies, procedures, and practices of human resources to ensure accurate service delivery.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources Required.
  • Able to work alone on a broad variety of projects.
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills.
  • Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to interpret employment legislation, policies and agreements.
  • Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.

  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced dynamic environment.
