The successful candidate will be in charge of all orders in Quebec and Eastern Canada. Communicates with customers (English & French) and records computerized information to ensure all customer requirements are met by performing the following duties and responsibilities described below. She will act as a support to Purchasing (e.g. amino acids) and Sales Support (e.g. product sample requests) Departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receives orders from the customer or sales staff by phone/email/fax, etc.
Enters the order according to the customer's requirements (i.e. shipping address, delivery date, carrier, product, etc.)
Determines Method of Shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of delivery
Keeps customers informed by notifying customers of shipping and stock availability issues; answering questions; and responding to requests
Replaces damaged items, shortages, and mis-shipments by informing customer, shipper, and transporter of damage, shortage, or mis-shipped items; returns refused product; issuing credit for damage and/or shortages, and returned products
Confirms pricing with sales
Delivers shipping documents along with all pertinent information such as commercial customs, invoice, COA
Maintains contracts and works with Sales to manage release dates for products
Follows up with purchasing to confirm delivery of goods required for customer orders
Follows through on any other requests from customers such as copies of invoices, COA requests, delivery date requests, and tracing of shipments, etc.
Serve as liaison between Supplier/Sales/Customer Service to ensure that proper goods are being ordered on a timely basis to meet customer requirements
Prepare and issue purchase orders and amendments, following proper internal controls and procedures. Ensure that proper written instructions are issued and controls are adhered to, and that proper documentation is defined to facilitate timely importation of goods
Monitors shipment and resolves shipping issues
Acts as back up for phone coverage and sales support
Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education and/or Experience
College or general education degree (GED); or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Inside sales experience a plus.
She must be fluent in both Canadian official languages (English and French). Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients and other employees of the organization in one-to-one and small group situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure (metric and imperial), using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to assigned tasks without requiring detailed oral or written instruction. Ability to deal with randomly occurring work related issues/problems.
To perform the job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software and order processing systems such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
